About the project

EVhub is an IoT-powered solution that was created to satisfy the need of electric vehicle drivers for remote charging. Since electric vehicles are rather popular in our client’s country, the Netherlands, the demand for chargers is extremely high. Thus, the client’s idea was to enter the market not only with another type of charger but to create an IoT solution to make the process of charging smart and convenient. The idea was to create a product that would interconnect three main elements: the charger for the car, the controller that is connected to the server and sends commands, and the app.

According to the requirements, the app’s functionality had to differ depending on the user’s role. Thus, we designed logic for the owner role and for the user. The most challenging part of the development was the integration of the controller’s SDK with the app to ensure that this entire IoT mechanism is functioning. To solve this obstacle, our team copied the SDK and adjusted the limitations of the existing solution to their needs to obtain the required device’s ID without the account. As a result of our fruitful cooperation with the customer, our team developed an IoT solution with rather simple yet efficient functionality that has already satisfied the needs of more than 3,000 users.
